Ms. Shamalov is the founder and principal attorney of Shamalov Law, PLLC. Ms. Shamalov focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid planning, guardianship, special needs planning and probate/trust administration.
Prior to founding Shamalov Law, PLLC, Ms. Shamalov held various legal positions in the areas of estate planning and elder law. In particular, Ms. Shamalov held a position as legal counsel for an association that represents over 80 nursing homes throughout the New York State Metropolitan region. In her position as legal counsel, Ms. Shamalov witnessed first-hand the consequences of the events that occur when individuals do not plan or properly plan for the unexpected.
Ms. Shamalov dedicates much of her time assuring that each client has the proper plan set forth in the event of any catastrophic event. Ms. Shamalov regularly lectures on topics related to Elder Law and Estate Planning.
Ms. Shamalov graduated from St. John’s University School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Shamalov participated in the St. John’s Elder Law Clinic and represented low-income elderly Queens’s residents in various legal issues. Prior to law school, Ms. Shamalov graduated cum laude from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a Communications Minor.
Ms. Shamalov resides in Queens with her husband and her daughter.
